Antique figural perfume / scent bottle depicting a woman holding a pug dog. Made by the Meissen factory, Germany, circa 1850. Measures a little under 3 inches tall (75mm).Woman wearing beautifully handpainted long skirt with frills and a harlequin bodice, holds a pug dog under one arm. The head of the dog is a gold mounted stopper for the perfume bottle. Fabulous minute detail - from the whiskers on the dog's face and his intelligent eyes to the gentle face of the woman and her pretty painted cap.
