Meissen porcelain figure group Girl at the spinning wheel
A Meissen porcelain figure group, 19th century. Model by Johann Joachim Kaendler around 1760, after a painting by Jean-Baptiste Chardin, girl with an elaborate bodice dress sitting on a chair, next to her is a table with a spinning wheel, oval rocaille base, polychrome and gold equipped. Meissen crossed swords in under glaze blue to base, incised 2685 with red mark and impressed 62, height approx 18 cm, length 18 cm. Due to the figure group being so fragile it will be double-boxed, with plenty of protection.
